Read MoreIt was a mid-October day when I met the Carlson family. We met at Memorial Park in Wilsonville and the weather was wonderful, not too cool and not too warm. The Carlson family were an absolute dream to work with! The kiddos are natural posers, they love the camera! They made my job smooth.
Jeremiah and Nichole moved here from Nebraska (although I think they are from Oregon). love hearing about the places that people have lived. Jeremiah was is the Air Force, thank you Jeremiah for your service!
Thank you so much Carlson family for a fun session and for choosing me as your family photographer! Go forth and rock on!

Read MoreThis session was amazing! Bryony's dear friend allowed us to use her gorgeous property. The lighting was dreamy as is this sweet, young family. My favorite memory from this session was how the boys daddy, Grant, would run and jump over their two year to make him laugh. It totally worked. It is something that he would normally do while playing with him. Lil' man LOVED the water. He was most interested in throwing rocks in the water (aren't most boys?).
Lasselle family, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your delicious family!
Go forth and rock on!
When I think of the Sorensen family, the word 'hero' comes to mind. Why? I am so glad you asked. =) Colin and Amy do so much for the Newberg community. Colin is a firefighter and Amy volunteersat the Newberg Animal Shelter (looking to adopt a fur baby? Check them out please http://newberganimals.com/). Giving of yourself to help others is a hero in my eyes. Thank you Colin and Amy for all that you do!
This session was not only a family session but also a milestone session. Mr. P turned one! I think lil man looks so much like his daddy, do you agree? He was so happy and he absolutely was enamored with the bubbles which was fun to watch. I think bubbles are pretty darn cool too!
What was even better about this session is that Amy gave me two boxes of delicious KIND bars! Yum! The apricot ones are my favorite.
Thank you Sorensen family for choosing me! Go forth and rock on!
Seriously, how smooth are the Khamnohacks? Not only do they look smooth but their session went super smooth too! We met at Rood Bridge park in Hillsboro and it was so lovely.
This session was done late September 2015. Yes, I am 3 months behind in blogging. Yikes! In my defense, I did not want to ruin anyone's holiday cards and it was the busy season. But I will be banging them out this winter! With the session is where I learned a new way to get kiddos involved in the session, play catch with the dog toy. Total hit with the wee ones even though my aim is awful!
This session was smooth sailing. The kiddos were as sweet as can be. My favorite part was at the end when Miss. A and Mr. M were telling each other silly secrets and making each other bust into giggle fits. The best!
Thank you Selby family for supporting me! Go forth and keep on rockin'!

So I can breathe you in
Hold you in
And now
I know you've always been
Out of your head
Out of my head I sang"
'Everlong'-Foo Fighters
The first three things that come to mind when I think back to this September session with the Hartman family. #1) it was so great to see the Hartmans again. #2 Foo Fighters. #3 Ava Anderson.
I first met the Hartmans in 2014 when I did their family portraits and I am so thrilled that they chose me again this year. They are a dream to work with. They are cool people. Super cool. At our session this year, I learned that John had gone to the Foo Fighter show just a few days before. I was a wee bit jealous because I had wanted to go but, well, time passes by and I never bought tickets. But anyway, see, they are cool people. Proof right there.
At this session is where I first learned of Ava Anderson. Stephanie is a rockin' consultant for Ava Anderson (www.avaandersonnontoxic.com/stephaniehartman) and I had the chance to smell a few items. Instantly, I became in love with the candles. I am sensitive to scents. I get headaches easily and these candles do not give me headaches when many others do. Probably because they are non-toxic. Ava Anderson has a wide variety of non-toxic products to choose from. Products for your baby, animal babies, your home, body and even your car.
And their kiddos! No, Ava Anderson does not sell Hartman kiddos. That was a bad lead in. =) I mean that I cannot forget the other two Hartmans! Mr. L and Miss S. were super cooperative and truly happy kiddos. We busted this session out super fast as they were on point!
Thank you Hartman family for choosing me to capture your family! Go forth and rock on!
